There is a big difference in seeing the Today’s Adivasi Mela and during the beginning of the Adivasi Mela in 1960. It was the emotional remark of Sri Lal Bihari Himirika, Hon’ble Dy. Speaker of Orissa Legislative Assembly. He said that the government is taking various items for the multifarious development of the tribals. Some reflections of the developed life style of the tribals is being manifested here. Adivasi mela is the right place for cultural interaction and manifestation of tribal Arts and their life style.
In the today’s evening’s cultural programme like Mundari dance of Banei, Saura dance of Rayagada (Puttasingh), Oraon Dance of Panposh, Bhotada dance of Nabarangpur and dance diversities of tribal students of Sundergarh, Nabarangpur and Banei region. Many foreign visitors had visited Adivasi Mela today and among them notably some British film producers had come to make a documentary on the life style of the tribals. They were amassed with this.
Today’s haat was more crowded than yesterday. The large scale selling of tribal products had demonstrated the popularity of Adivasi Mela.
